Console has special meaning to SLIC - DST, manual IPL - such things. Other than that it's just another display device. QCTL gives console device a priority boost - but this is just configuration. You can do the same for your favourite display device, if you wish. This has nothing to do with interactive feature etc. Alexei Pytel "James W. So, although the QCTL (console) device runs at priority 10 and the QINTER devices (other 5250) run at priority 20, the governor will affect both? Or does the governor ignore the console? After all it -is- the console. I'm still trying to get clear on this subject myself. I always thought that a console is a console, period.
