So where does this leave the twinax system console? Is it considered an
interactive job? I'd rather not use a PC for the console if at all possible.
Seems like reliability is less important to IBM than the right to pick our
pockets..... :(

From the V5R1 announcement letter 101-117

Base processor features - No support provided for 5250 interactive
workloads. Any task started through a 5250 session (5250 device or 5250
emulation) where the user waits for a response is considered iSeries
interactive work.

Of course, one could still question if this is the one CFINT uses...
