Re: PKZIP for AS400

We have the PKZIP for AS/400 product, but we do not use it.  This preceded my
arrival here, but I've been told that it was too slow for our requirements.
The person who could give me specifics on that is not here today.

We are using a product called EasyAccess2000, which is, as a package, an EDI
product, but for our FTP transfers between our mainframe and the AS/400, we
use only the compression & decompression routines.  Very fast and it typically
squeezes our data files to 10% of their original size.  Check out Btrade.com
for more info.  Potential downside: Not available for CISC boxes.
