Yes, you're correct Larry - this was only on CISC hardware.
I believe the RISC "solution" was the introdution of the system value 
QDYNPTYSCD - with the default setting of '1' - although I think if you set 
a job with priority of 0 through 9 it can still lock the system if it goes 
into a loop.

As I recall they thing was called 'Hog Hunter'. I also seem to recall it
was never made available on RISC.  Memory fuzzzzy......
