RE: AS400....is it really an "Open" system??

Unfortunately I am no SQL Server expert.  I just know that it can be done,
with some limitations.  On the WRKRBDDIRE command you can specify the port
name.  The default is *DRDA.  Check out what port the SQL server is
listening at and use that port.  The default is sqlserv or 118.  You can
enter the service name or the port number directly.

I've tried this and can only access AS/400 databases.  I can guess that the
SQL server has to be running DRDA?  How can I tell the SQL server guys what
they need to configure on the SQL Server?  They have heard of DRDA but never
used it.

The SQL server database that I am trying to connect to is running a canned
imaging application.  There is no real "SQL Server" expert at my customer.
