     When I was in college (1991-1995), all programming classes began with 
     the evolution of the language, how they got their names, and who the 
     key players were that "thunk" them up...
     
     COBOL - Grace Hopper
     BASIC - some guys named Kimmeny and Kurtz
     Pascal - Nicklaus Werth
     Modula/2 - Nicklaus Werth
     Ada - named for Ada Lovelace, the first computer programmer

I have a question.  Do you all feel that, on the average, programmers 
coming out of college are lees knowledgeable about the profession than 
those say 10 or 20 years ago?
