But surely retrieving OS/400 error messages cannot be the 100% pure Java that is the only thing worth writing (Mr. Ruthledge main point for the business case for Java was its "write once, run anywhere" capability). Looking on the Web, I see that even the ProgramCall class is a special AS/400 deal.
