And we are not just talking about RPG calling Java. What would be better is Java calling RPG (to do business logic). Or simply making Java a first-class citizen without any tricks. Of course you can always fake it (in any language), but write the parameters to a file, starting another job, in that job call the program that reads the parameter file and produces a result file to be read by the original program, when the temporary jobs ends. That is NOT what I meant. Furthermore all that is "in future" versions. Doing us no good now.
