Grab one of your network guys/gals for a few minutes and he should be able
to give you the IP address ranges and subnet masks you need to configure for
the routes - it all depends very much on how your network is setup, so your
own people would be the best to talk to about that. Once you do your
CRTLINETH it will configure the interface etc. to what you need, then all
you have to worry about is the routing entry(ies).

As your AS/400 would probably see all data going to the 'net as one IP
address or range, you need to add the route with that destination and subnet
mask (and the next hop being the router to contact that address (your
firewall ?) and for the preferred binding interface, use the IP address of
your 10M/bit card.

Enjoy!

Subject: IP Forwarding

Hello all,

Here is a simple one for you networking gurus. We have an AS/400 with two
Ethernet cards. The 10/100 card is the 'MAIN' adapter and is assigned an IP
Address in the 192.168.0 range. The 10m card which was left from our
upgrade is currently not connected. I would like to use that card to
forward data to our internet router. Can someone please clue me as to the
TCP/IP interface and route parameters.

Thanks,

Mark
