Optical Library -- MIDRANGE-L

We have a direct attach optical library on our system.  I would like to
use it to archive some old files/libraries.  We are currently looking at
ObjectStore for this purpose but it seems way more complicated than we
need.  We just want to change some of our long term storage to optical.

All we want to do is place files or save files in a directory on an
optical platter for possible later retrieval.  We may even standardize
and only place save files out there.  Retrieval speed is not an issue.  

Anybody got any suggestions ?
