John: Depending on the modem attached to your AS400 (this product requires one configured for ASYNC line or one that can be switched to it), we use a product called ZMOD400 from Trailblazer Systems. It works well for us (downloading data from a bank via Zmodem) and I believe the product can do other protocols.
