It works,   I think you just have to configure a direct connection in CA
for each site.    I created Icons and put them in a folder ( I passthru
from mainsite mostly)  just to be able to do the password thing.    One
change and it does them all

That little program to "Change all your server passwords" doesn't work as
we
think it would - it's not lying, it doesn't have "**all at once, enter the
new one only one time!**".  It lets you do it one by one by one...it's the
same as going to control panel, doing the CA options, and changing your
password there.
