Try specifying DTAFMT(*TEXT) on the CPY command. Albert York -----Original Message----- From: rob@dekko.com [SMTP:rob@dekko.com] Sent: Thursday, February 15, 2001 9:29 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: DLO objects look like garbage I have a file that I use CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(*LIBL/&FILE) TOSTMF(&IFSFILE) RCDDLM(*CRLF) on. I can view this file by using DSPF and it looks great. I can download this file using FTP and it looks great. When I copy to QDLS system using the CPY command or use CPYTOIMPF to go directly to QDLS system it looks like crud, garbage, hieroglyphics, whatever. Goal: To send an email out with a usable attachment. I want one of two solutions: 1) Get the document to not hose up when I move it into QDLS and use SNDDST. 2) Figure out how to set up the email to have an attachment so I can use the send mail API, QtmmSendMail. I've used the API in the past to send email. The trick for me is learning how to code the MIME for an attachment. Does anyone have a sample? My attachment is a simple .txt file.
