Iain, With NT running on an IXS (INS, IPCS, FSIOP....) and the job running with a user ID and password that exists and has rights to the NT share then you can use the \QNTC file system to access the drive from RPG and CL. Within RPG you treat if as a normal IFS file. You can explore \QNTC to get the exact path with WRKLNK. If the server in question does not exist in \QNTC use the MD command (ie MD \QNTC\Server1 ) to add the directory. Also note that this does NOT work to W9x machines only NT and W2K. If ya wanna freak out your NT guys, have them sit and watch the NT desktop while you go to an AS/400 green screen and use the DEL command to delete a file from it right in front of their eyes!
