IBM has pretty major "porting" facility that allows them to do some pretty good conversions. I don't have a number but I'm pretty sure Al Barsa or other BP's can put you in touch with those folks.... I would approach those folks and they can tell you exactly what the process will be and what your requirements are. Trying to "learn" the 400 by your self will be similar to teaching your self "How to Fly", with similar results....
