I can sympathise with the search engine.  The best thing to do there is to
spend some time and play with the keywords.  I have found that two keywords
work the best.  I used SQL TOTAL and quickly found the answer: use UNION.

I have also found that hits less than 4 stars are rarely of interest.  I
only look there when truly desperate.

One thing that definitely hampers the search is the lack of correlation
between the subject and the problem.  This very thread will suffer the same
problem.  A better subject line might be "How do I show detail and total in
a single SQL SELECT?"
