I have seen the same thing too but, It seems to have hit a plateau. Probably several factors are falling into play like the perception of a slowing economy, Y2K spending is over, and there may have been a few companies that failed to realize the benefits from going away from their so called "legacy" (marketing guys just love that legacy word) apps. Could be your witnessing the death of the AS400 market in your area. I am a young guy but I know there have been some great platforms that just went a way. I'll bet there were some great apps written for the Wang and the VAX.......
