There is one other thing to consider.  Domino.  From the web site:

 Domino Releases supported on OS/400 Version 4 Release 5         
 V4R5 OS/400 will support Domino for AS/400 R5 releases. It will 
   NOT support any Domino R4.6x releases. See Domino Releases    
 supported on OS/400 V4R5 for additional information.
