     HPT - host print transform. That's a middle tier print engine built 
     into OS400 that allows you to use PCL printers as *IPDS or *AFPDS 
     printers. 
     
     You can usually speed it up a bit by increasing the available 
     memory allocated to QSPL subsystem.

Hello Group:
     
I'm trying to print an Overlay that's 11" x 17" Landscape on my HP5SI printer on
y network.
     
My overlay prints fine, the execution of my program is quick but it takes a long
ime to print the 9 page report.
     
Can anyone explain to me why it takes a long time to send my printout from the A
00 output que to the network printer?
