Do you know how to say .....memory .....and lot's of it. A lot depends on how "complex" the overlay is and what has to happen in the printer to get all the bars, logos, etc, etc all spread out and bit mapped.... Lots of memory seems to cure most problems, but printing with overlays is just plain slow by any means.... I also assume you are using HPT to print the overlay, which adds even more overhead. On a full blown IPDS printer with lots of memory, they seem to do OK, but most IBM printers with IPDS have their own onboard processor which helps speed things along. > John Fields wrote: > > Hi, group!: > > I'm trying to display a to print an Overlay that's 11" x 17" Landscape > on my HP5SI printer on my network. > > It prints ok but it takes a long time to print the 4 page report can > anyone help? +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
