  • Subject: Delphi with a AS/400 database

Hi there,
Some of you may recongnize me I was at Progisys inc. a few weeks ago.
I would like to take some outputs from a PC Delphi application (I don't know the version of delphi yet), and insert them into an AS/400 database.  Now it's the first time I'm going to do this and I guess it won't be the last.
How could this be done? I've thought of having the Delphi application calling an RPG program that would receive the data through some parameters.  But then I started wonder if there was a limit for the lenght of the parameters passed to an RPG program.  And finally I wondered if I was at least able to pass parameters to a RPG program through a Delphi program.  And is there data conversion process to do?(ex :ASCII to EBCDIC).

Anyway maybe I'm focusing on the wrong solution.

Anybody has an idea?

Thanks In advance!
