We have a software vendor who provides support via ECS. We must enter a
command for our AS/400 to dial their AS/400. Unfortunately, it's a long
distance call and sometimes the vendor is inactive (session is in DSPW) for
long periods of time without disconnecting. It's bad enough we have to pay
for the call when they are actually working on it but it's worse when
they're not. We would like to take control rather than having to rely on
the vendor.
Is it possible to setup something on our AS/400 to automatically disconnect
the line once a specified inactivity time limit is reached? Any
information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
