Jim, this is reaching way back.... I think if you look in the library #LIBRARY you may see an object named OFF. You could try renaming it and then sign on a session and choose 24 on the menu. I have an idea you will get a boomer from the system, but that's a good thing. Then you can make your own OFF. _______________________ Booth Martin Booth@MartinVT.com http://www.MartinVT.com _______________________ Jim Langston <jlangston@conexfreight.com> Sent by: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com 09/12/2000 11:30 AM Please respond to MIDRANGE-L To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com cc: Subject: Re: "Off" command Actually, on just about every menu we have on the system, option 24 is "Off". I was hoping to change this command (thinking it was one of ours, not one of IBM's) in one spot so that when anyone either typed "Off" or selected #24 from a menu it would either ENDPASTHR or do a SIGNOFF. Apparently, it looks like this is not to be the case and I am going to have to modify every single menu we have on the system (tons of them). Okay, next step, can anyone think of a way to kludge the S/36 environment to run my Off command instead of the built in S/36 Off command? By creating it yourself you could call it OFF or anything else you wanted. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
