Color me ignorant but I thought what was needed to make software written for CISC work for RISC was to tweak some byte in the compile so that the code contains what RISC calls "observables." Moving the stuff around on different platforms is doable, but if the original code is not "observable" it aint gonna work on a RISC machine. > From: Oliver.Cherryman@mynd-uk.com (Cherryman, Oliver) > > Dear All, > > Can a master tape with libraries saved at CISC OS level 3.1 be restored onto > an AS400 running at 4.4 in order to be resaved as RISK ? > > Sandra Thorpe Al Macintyre ©¿© MIS Manager Green Screen Programmer & Computer Janitor of BPCS 405 CD Rel-02 running on AS/400 V4R3 http://www.cen-elec.com Central Industries of Indiana--->Quality manufacturer of wire harnesses and electrical sub-assemblies +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
