Dawn,
re: spool problem
The "message" that Chris is talking about is the print confirmation message
that the E10 has to send back to the 620. It uses SNADS to do this. Do a
WRKDSTQ on the E10 and check the current queue depth for the queue to the
620 - you'll likely find that it's backed up with a lot of distributions.
If it is, then it means that there's something wrong with the setup on the
E10. If it isn't, check and make sure that the QSNADS subsystem is running
on the E10. If it is, do a SNDNETMSG on the E10 to yourself on the 620. If
it doesn't go through, that's proof that you need to check the E10's
communications, SNADS, and distribution queue setups again, there has to be
something wrong.
re: HTML/RTF messages
Which version of Outlook are you using? In Outlook 98 and Outlook 2000 you
can set it to use plain text for messages to the mailing list, and change
the message format when it tries to defy your settings (which will be
frequently - I've become resigned to it). I can tell you how to do it in
Outlook 98 if that's what you have, others know what to do in Outlook 2000.
If you're using Outlook 97, that's a problem - I haven't figured out how to
make that bloody thing send in plain text yet, and I'm not sure if anyone
else here has.
I hope some of this babbling helps you.

I can sndnetsplf - they are fine
I really don't understand what you mean by send messages.
I do know that the NY site is getting their printouts - my issue is that my
queues are filling up w/ stuff that has BEEN printed and I have to clean
them out.
I'm beginning to suspect it is on my 620 side. Cuz even when I clean out
the queue I get back to the wrkoutq's screen and press refresh they don't
show as deleted. But when I go back into the queue - they are gone. It
takes a while to show they are gone.... They do go away in about 3
minutes... but that doesn't seem normal to me. I have to have something
configured wrong, I just don't know where to look AGAIN.
And when I send msg's to the list it is sending in Rich Text format... I'm
not putting it in HTML on purpose - we use outlook - how do I ensure that
you are able to read it... what do I change... hate Outlook - Like Lotus
Notes.

Awh! Most likely your E10 cannot send a response back to the originating
system. Check your communication configuration to make sure that you can
get messages back and forth.
Please do not send HTML!

We have changed E10 communication from an F50 to communicate directly to our
620. We created rmtoutq's on the 620 and redirected the dstq's and dire
etc. etc.
So when the E10 user's sbm print jobs it goes to a rmtoutq and prints up in
NY (where the e10 is located). Everything works and the NY users don't
notice the difference.
BUT on the 620 side eventhough the splf has already sent the satus stays at
SND - it never goes away. I have never run into this. What did I miss?
