Funny you mention that. I saw yours and John Carr's posts last month on the
need to write the editor. So I wrote InfoWorld thanking them for running
"The Platform that Pays" along with other articles favorable to the AS/400
(including John Carr's article). They published that letter yesterday.

IMO, good press sells computers even better than good marketing. If you
want more good press for the AS/400 then you should subscribe to InfoWorld'w
free e-mail newsletter at http://www.iwsubscribe.com/newsletters/ and then
tell the editor why you are subscribing at letters@infoworld.com.

These two simple things can be done in the time it takes to write and/or
read a flame on IBM's marketing, and with a lot less expense than an ad in
the WSJ.

I would think there may be a good case for David Gibbs to open up a forum
dedicated to people who actually want TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT improving the
perception of the AS/400. And I, for one, would be open to other
suggestions.

Someone said "A journey of thousand miles begins with just one step." I say
that's true, but progress is a lot faster if one thousand people each take
one step in the same direction.
