It really depends on what industry you're in.  I would guess you're in
retail.  If so, here are some useful sites:

Retail Tech Magazine: http://www.retailtech.com/  There are some percentages
listed on page 5 of their report:
http://www.retailtech.com/retailtechreport.htm They range from 1% to 9%
depending on the industry and whether you include capital expenditures.

Chain Store Age magazine probably has this kind of info, but I didn't see it
on a quick scan of their site http://www.chainstoreage.com/
