× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

There is a way to reuse tapes without initialization.  It is the way most of
the canned backup packages work and 370/390's, but you have to specify an
expiration date for your tapes.  When the backup hits an expired tape, it
will use it.
