Sigrid,

This is sort of at a tangent, but it may be that your problem is at the
Earthlink end. I have tried a number of times to dial into Earthlink with
my work laptop, which only has vanilla Dial-Up Networking, and it will never
log on properly. Using the dialer on my home desktop connects fine. I
haven't been able to get any confirmations or denials from them yet (haven't
tried very hard), but I think Earthlink is doing something non-standard in
the dialer, and their servers require this whatever-it-is in order to make a
connection. If that's the case, you would have to be able to get that same
behavior on the /400 in order to do what you want.

Hi Everybody,

We are trying to establish a PPP dial-up connection between our AS/400 and
Mindspring (Earthlink). We can get a connection to MIndspring. They
validate our login and password, but that's as far as we get. We can't find
anybody at MIndspring who is familiar with the AS/400. We suspect that the
problem is in the trigger program. Does anyone out there know something
about triggers?
