It is funny, one guy on the site posted the idiotic assumption that
JavaScript is a direct decendant of Java and that any site using JavaScript
that claims to be anti Java was hypocritical. The folks on the list set
about proving that JavaScript had existed as LiveScript before Java got to
be popular and that the name change was more a marketing ploy than anything
else. But that also was deleted during the big reset.

While the site migh be a little quirky and not fully functional for all
browsers (e.g. NetScape 4.6 for Linux) it is still a testament to the power
of RPG. I have never even heard of any Java heads putting together
something like GenX to show how well Java can access the AS/400 database.
I have seen the people on the genX site knock down several attacks from know
nothing, hype spewing, media sponges about how much better Java is than RPG.
While the RPG folks keep saying, for the most part, yeah Java has its place
it just can't replace RPG.

RPG may indeed be gone sooner than I would like but it won't be because it
isn't powerful enough to elbow a spot in the e-??? world it will be because
IBM kills it.
