They'll continue to do so (but notice their low priority) untill all the
IBM LPP's have been decompressed.
They should not really be slowing you down.  When you do a  release upgrade
the code installed on your system is compressed.  If there is sufficient
disk space it will decompress after the install is complete.  If you need
to reference a compressed object it hasn't yet decompressed, it will
immediately decompress that object.  You can still re-IPL your system if
you want, the decompress jobs will pick up where they left off after th
enext IPL.

Does any one know what function these jobs perform?  We just upgraded from
4.3 to 4.4 and they are hogging 75% of the cpu for the last hour.
