Copy / Move ... I use CC on first & last lines of a block to be copied or MM
to move then A on line to insert this after or B to insert this before ...
what is it you are asking for that this not do?

I would like to mark *multiple* blocks of code, i.e. CC, CC, page down, C, page down, MM, MM, page down A, enter.  The way it works now I would have had to page up and down through the program multiple times.

Bookmarks ,,, I think we would need some dictionary of places that have pointers.
I have been using F & name of subroutine & 18 to get to beginning of that
subroutine & other variations

That's fine if your're dealing w/ a specific subroutine.  But when you are poring through a large program that you are not familiar with, bookmarks become very useful.

but the technique I need to learn is ... when
I have a copy of the compiled program in front of me ... how do I jump to a particular LINE #?

In ILE, use the H spec keyword OPTION( *SrcStmt ).  In RPG/400, the numbers should match up (unless you are using /COPY).
