My main resource was the Help key. Yes IBM has done an excellent job of putting the documentation on line. I find Ops Nav easy to use under 4.4. I did not like 4.3 very much, it keeps on locking up. With Net Server you can share your AS400 printers and move spool files from one printer to another. Try that with NT. Client Access Express is much better than Client Access 3.2. I am trying to get everyone migrated here. BTW our Compaq servers running NT have been having disk failures and I started putting my important docs on our AS400 under a Net Server share. Faster access and always available. Christopher K. Karen Herbelin - Readers Digest 3/2000 -----Original Message----- From: MARYLOU ATWELL [mailto:MATWELL@interboro.k12.pa.us] Sent: Tuesday, July 25, 2000 5:13 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Client Access & V4.4 Chris, As we don't truly use the AS400 for file sharing, we have Compaq servers for that, the only thing that would be shared possibly are some of the AS400 printers, that are just on the AS400, like our 4234 or our 6200 (both of which are dated, to put it mildly). I know that I will be investigating the various avenues of this, and most likely will kill the AS400. Then the support line contract will come in handy. Do you have a resource that you went to often, or was it picked up as you went? And thanks for your comments, I will do as you said and have fun with it, since it's here to stay until the next time. Have a great day!
