CPYTOIMPF rules?

When copying a file from a library to stream file in the root file system using 
CPYTOIMPF(i.e. CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(lib/file) TOSTMF('/lib/file.txt') 
MBROPT(*REPLACE) RCDDLM(*CRLF) DTAFMT(*FIXED)).         What are the rules that 
the command follows for formatting a field if DTAFMT(*FIXED) is used?(i.e. 
packed fields, zoned decimal fields, fields with decimals, fields without 
decimals, negative fields)  It seems to place 2 blanks after a packed field 
with 0 decimals, 3 blanks after zoned with 0 decimals???
