GetHostByAddr is the standard library function.
retcode = gethostbyaddr(addr, alen, atype)

addr    &char   a pointer to an array that contains a host address
alen    int             an integer that give the address length (4 for IP)
atype   int             an integer that give the address type (AF_INET for
an IP address)

struct hostendt {
        char    *h_name;
        char    *h_aliases[];
        int     h_addrtype;
        int     h_lenght;
        char    **h_addr_list;
}
