Al is 100% correct. The difference in speed is amazing. We verified this
actual
example when doing a Cisc to Risc conversion just a few weeks ago. We had to
duplicate a library, and it was amazing just how much faster it was to bring it
down from tape when the access paths were saved, than doing a CPYLIB (which is
disk to disk).
