Jon,

Interesting, and dangerous.

I've never tried this on anything other than a display file. Is this valid
for a LF over the PF, or simply for another PF? Is the resulting LF update
capable? (SQL views provide type casting)

As has been mentioned several times through this thread - no you can't. I
thought we were at the point where we were saying "Ok. A dictionary takes
care of the field reference problem. What else have we got?".
