Nick Do you use any desktop apps that access the 400 via ODBC ? I have one of these that is regularly reponsible for disabling user profiles most commonly when passwords are changed. The reason for this may be the phenomon noted by Alexei (which I have also seen) but may also be the weird way that ODBC sometimes seems to handle security. I suspect this last is somewhat dependent on how the SQL/ODBC statement is written; I have seen an APAR on just this problem on IBM Tech support site.
