Arlene, don't use what you see on the compiler listings. It is possible that a given compiler may not have been updated for the current release and it will show the release that it was last updated. On the fly, I have entered DSPPTF and looked at the top to find out what the release is on a given box. Batch-wise, I believe there is a TAATOOL that gets this info. Is there an API, anybody? - Dan Bale > -----Original Message----- > From: Arlene M Soderlund [SMTP:Arlene_M_Soderlund/NFCNA.COM@nfcna.com] > Sent: Monday, June 12, 2000 1:49 PM > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: Where can you find the Version & Release #'s on your AS/400 > > Is there a dtaara or user space, where the Version Number & Release > Reside??? > > I can see it on a compile listing, so IBM is getting it from the LicPgm > somehow. > > Or would I have to take from a PF created from the LICPGM listing? > > Thanks. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
