There are several software packages for dialing into the ECS modem. One
that I have used is Synapse Communications. It turns your PC into an
APP/APPC node and lets you use your PC modem to connect to the ECS modem.
There is also setting up for PPP under V4R4 and maybe a release or two back.
You then can use standard windows based DUN. A much cleaner approach. I am
suppressed that the venders on this list did not respond.

I would like to know if I can directly dial DIRECTLY into my 400 from home
w/o going through my company network on a lind created similar to my ECS
line? I have it set to auto answer.

I have CA at home but wondered if I really needed a network to use it.

My problem is the company network won't pick up my call any longer ever
since they upgraded their "rocket modems". Now they hang up on me. I can
dial out to 5 other companies just fine... go figure.

I don't feel like dragging my pc into to work to try and prove a point. I
was just wondering if this is possible. thanks....
