I would hire James because:

* He's written a cool USEFUL application that is Stihl in use!

* He has a good sense of humor "Stihl in use" -- excellent!

* His answer to the accountant problem was very good. I wanted to hear
something like "I'd ask the accountant what problem they were trying to
solve and see if that really IS the solution they want", but his "What's the
budget" was pretty much the same.

Good answers, James. You start at $18K ... negotiable <grin>

I wrote an inventory forecasting for a major chain saw distributor that
accurately projected the number of units sold the next month for 5 out
of the 6 units tested. It was off by one for the 6th. They picked the
test case. Nice exercise in pattern recognition. In RPGII for the
S/36.

The above is Stihl in use. On their AS/400.

Both kinds of music. Rhythm and blues.

Me, you. :)

Flip answer, go to lunch. It's an accountant. Real answer, if they
need it like right now, run a query to create the file, download it and
import it for them. If it's going to be done repeatedly, what's the
budget?
