Pete, At GNP, we ran a cleaner CD through it a couple of times. Didn't do it any harm, and it did seem to read better (apparently fewer retries) afterward. I don't know who makes them, but there's nothing unusual about the drives, except the price and the slowness (4x for the 6321-001, 8x for the 6321-002). Dave Shaw Spartan International, Inc.
