The SAVRSTxxx commands are built to use SNADS under the cover. I
realize that anynet can be used to support SNA over IP, but that's
not really going to be very efficient. Actually, #1 and #2 are
essentioally the same problem, though #1 could be relaxed by using
anynet, assuming that the network supports this.

But, otherwise, it is my uneducated guess that whenever I can use FTP for
AS/400-to-AS/400 object transfers, I can also use the SAVRSTOBJ command.
Your #2 makes it sound like that is not the case.
You and I agree on using the "right tool for the job". How would this
affect your #1?
