From Al Mac The other Al will doubtless also give you some more info on this, but 1. ANY TIME you upgrade OS/400, you ought to check with your software suppliers to see if anything needs to be upgraded to work on the new OS version. TAATOOLS is no exception to this rule. 2. Once upon a time TAATOOLS came with OS but now it is no longer free from IBM, you have to pay a nominal fee for a legal copy from the father of the OS/400, Jim Sloan, who can be found via http://www.midrange.com/resources/jump.pl?ID=38 = Barsa Consulting 3. Any programs that you have that were designed to run on a CISC box, that came with observables supporting a conversion to RISC will get a QSYSOPR message about that being done when you try to execute them for the first time on a RISC box. If they don't come with observables, they can't be converted, but some might still work. > Subj: TAATOOLS > From: ORiordan_Paudie@emc.com > > Hi All, > I was wondering on how to do this or if anybody knows how to do it > I have converted to V4R4M0 from V3R2M0 a few weeks ago, but I am unable to > convert TAATOOLS > as I don't have the source code, especially for the object below > Is there any way I can convert this ? > the message I keep getting on message queue qsysopr is > *Converting *PGM TAAJOBIC in library TAATOOL to 64-bit RISC > > Thanks in advance for your help > Regards > Paudie O'Riordan Al Macintyre ©¿© http://www.cen-elec.com MIS Manager Programmer & Computer Janitor The road to success is always under construction.
