I believe that only 1 of these 3 choices are possible: 

1-Tom Peters is wrong; excellence doesn't prevail, or 
2-Microsoft's saga is unfinished, or 
3-Microsoft products are excellent.

Booth,

Are you implying that Gates disproves the premise because of the lack of
"excellence" in his products?  Or am I still missing the point?
