What I am trying to achieve, is to copy all the files from a tape into
the directory(library) TAPEDUMP.

Mark,

It really depends on how the files were put on the tape in the first place,
and are they native IBM tapes (EBCDiC) or ASCII files. If they were native
AS/400 files that were saved with one of the SAV* commands, then your
problem is getting the name of the file and original library correct. If
the files are data that has been saved to tape by another machine, the
CPYFRMTAP command may work, but you will have some trouble getting to the
file without a DDS. If you wish, contact me by phone or private email and
I would be happy to help.
