Trying to remember back in my dinosaur days on a mainframe - I think that "C" is valid instead of "F" as a positive sign for a packed numeric field on a mainframe. Seems to me I ran into a problem with this once about 7 or 8 yrs ago. But darned if I remember any more how we solved it. But "C" is valid.

Wouldn't that be considered invalid data? I thought packed fields could only end w/ "D" or "F".

Subject: Reade With a Packed Field
Has anyone ever had a problem using Reade with a partial key and one
of the keys is packed and the data in the packed field ends with a C
and not a F? Any ideas on why this would not work?
