Yes, Kirk, you can use both drives in a 'serial' mode (i.e. save to first
device, when full start save on second device, etc and this has been supported
for quite some time). What I was asking about are 'parallel' saves, which I've
found documented in the V4R4 manuals, but not with much detail. Scott's reply
refers to BRMS's interface to this at V4R4, which allows creation of a 'media
definiton' object which is needed, but we don't use BRMS. I did find in the
Backup and Recovery API's Reference an API that will allow the creating of a
'Media Definition'. Under V4R4, this can then be referred to on the device
parameter of a 'normal' save command (i.e. SAVLIB, SAVOBJ, SAVCHGOBJ).

What I have not been able to determine is if this can be done for a SAVLIB
(*NONSYS). One of the restrictions IBM documents is that only one library can
be entered when using a 'parallel' save. But is entering *NONSYS the
equivalent of entering one library name???
