The problem here, of course, is it depends. Even when you only had one local phone service provider, it typically had options as to what constituted a local call. For an additional fee, you could make any call within a certain area local that would be treated as long distance for more stingy customers. Now that competition for local service exists, the question of what is a local call becomes even more interesting. My advice would be to contact your phone service provider and see if it will help you. Donald R. And hopefully it will be able to list which ones are local calls from a specified areacode and exchange. For example from 219-347-#### I can dial the following local exchanges: 347, 349, 430, 897 and 343. I am making a program to convert a given number in the format to dial out. I would incorporate such a table if it exists. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
