I'm also a JDE shop (with mulitple environments...) and watch my deleted records "often". We don't have tons of spare DASD so I try to keep on top of it. I did find a utility RGZLIBPF that is quite slick and allows you to reorg all files in a library with a certain % of deleted recs (or *ANY). If far beats trying to do it by hand. Can't remember where we got the utility, though. None of the environments are 24x7 so I usually do a couple on a weekend, every so often. That reminds me (rats), I've got a bunch to try and get done this weekend... > -----Original Message----- > From: pike4@ix.netcom.com [SMTP:pike4@ix.netcom.com] > Sent: Thursday, February 17, 2000 1:50 PM > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: Re: Re: Delete Records -File Re-org > > Al, > That is an excellent idea, but this being a JD Edwards shop, I'm sure > there will be all sorts of flags raised. > MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com wrote: > +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
